It is only worth watching movies that teach ussomething of real life.

Movies have been a major source ofentertainment for people regardless of your socialstatus. Some people consume movies for fun or justregard them as a great pass time while others seekfor inspiration and motivation in movies. When itcomes to the question of what kinds of movies areworth watching, different people tend to give distinctive views. I personally think that weshould not just watch movies that teach us something of real life and there are more benefitsone can get when watching a movie.

Admittedly, a lot of movies whether it is science fiction, action, or even thriller are verymuch based on real life scenario and indeed one can learn enormously by watching moviesthat has an implication on real life. For example, the Pursuit of Happiness, starring Will Smithis definitely a great movie worth watching. It depicts a single father who lived a hard life andtried to climb the social ladder, he tried a lot of professions and ended up being in a totaldisaster. Eventually, with great determination, perseverance and will power he became asuccessful stock broker. It is very touching and inspiring. However, movies that are worthwatching are not limited to the ones that can teach us lesson about real life and peopleconsume movies for other important purposes.

People consume movies in part for entertainment and amusement, this is especially truefor people who usually have a busy schedule. For instance, students are generally overwhelmedwith all kinds of assignment in school, like preparing for exam, working on research papers anddelivering presentations, sometimes they need to switch off and go to the movie theater toenjoy their personal lives. Actually, it can be great fun to munch on some chips, sipping one'sfavorite soda and enjoy a great movie. One can invite some friends to watch the movietogether, and watching the movie together brings friends much more closer. After watching amovie, one can feel refreshed and energetic when going back to study or work.

Additionally, watching movies can have other kinds of benefits besides learning somethingabout real life. Watching movies is a great way for kids to get exposure to the latestdevelopment in science and technology and they can stir up their imagination and be morecreative. In a lot of science fiction movies, there are numerous gadgets and inventions thatcan lighten kids' interest in science. More importantly, one can learn some academic theoriesin physics, aerospace, so on and so forth. For example, I learned a lot of knowledge like starmovement parterns, black hole, Bode's Law, and even the asteroid belt in a lot of sciencefiction movies.

In conclusion, it is not true to claim that people only need to watch movies that givesome lessons about real life. Learning important lessons about life is just one benefit ofwatching movies, indeed the benefit of watching movies goes far beyond that since we alsoconsume movies for leisure and knowledge.
