学生有两句是这么写的：

The most noteworthy region is North America, where average protein and calories all rank the first with an average grams of protein approaches 80 and calories reaches 3500. Meanwhile, North America has the largest intake of animal protein (62).

教师修改后如下：

The most noteworthy region is North America, where average protein and calorie intake both rank the highest, with respectively 80 grams and 3500 grams per person per day. Additionally, it is the only region with more animal protein intake than other proteins: 62 grams versus 18 grams.

※ 本期，我们来比较一下两个衔接词（meanwhile和additionally）的区别：

meanwhile 

1）指“同时”：Bake the aubergines till soft. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a heavy pan.

2）指“在此期间”：You needn't worry; I'll be ready to greet them. Meanwhile I'm off to discuss the Fowlers' party with Felix.

3）强调“另一面”：You throw food away, and meanwhile children are starving all over the world.

additionally 

1）介绍“另外的内容/原因等”：You can pay bills over the Internet. Additionally, you can check your balance or order statements.

2）指“发生的程度比以前更甚”：The birds are additionally protected in the reserves at Birsay.
