In fact, I personally do agree with this statement.

理由1：
客观上来说，由于近年来科技迅速发展，医疗手段和相关医疗设施也有很大进步，所以人们生病了也能很快被治愈，从而更能保持身体健康。
Reason 1:
From an objective point of view, thanks to the rapiddevelopment of science and technology in recent years, medical treatments andrelated facilities have made significant progress; therefore modern people willbe cured soon even if they get sick, which makes keeping fit easier thanbefore.

理由2：
相对于过去的人来说，现代人主观上也更加注重健康，比如每年进行体检已是普遍现象。所以不断增强的健康意识也使得人们更容易维持良好的健康状况。
Reason 2:
When it comes to the subjective side, people are nowmore health-conscious than before. For example, now it is a common phenomenonto have medical examination every year. Therefore, the increasing healthconsciousness also helps people to maintain good physical health conditions.

总之，随着社会发展和人们生活水平的进步，人们更能保持身体健康。
Summary:
All in all, as the society develops and people’sliving standard improves, it is sure that nowadays it is much easier for peopleto stay healthy than before.
